Leg edema/pregnancy: Swelling in lower extremities is very normal at almost "37 w" of pregnancy. It is more frequent even with "normal BP" because of the pressure of the nearly "term size" uterus/fetus on the lower extremity veins. More intervals lying down during the day should improve the degree of swelling.

Swelling: Swelling of ankles is common. However, swelling of ankles can be a sign of preeclampsia. The signs of preeclampsia though are headache, RUQ pain, blurry vision. Ankle edema is a sign of preecampsia, but this is significant if the edema persists after 12 hours of bedrest. BP typically 140/90 or more. Elevate legs if possible. This sounds most like simple edema from pregnancy.
