Depends on wound.: If you have a wound as a result of a surgical incision then usually local care with keeping it clean, a topical antibacterial ointment and a dressing should heal it. If it is a venous ulcer, then you would need a full venous evaluation with a venous reflux sonogram and closure of any refluxing valves. It would be wise for you to see a vein specialist for an evaluation.
