Torn Skin Issues: "torn skin" or any break in the skin is at risk for infection. If the wound is superficial enough then a bandage with antibacterial ointment should be sufficient. If the wound is deeper, it might require more care such as oral antibiotics or even sutures to close it. If the wound oozes pus, has an intense odor, or is red/inflamed, it is important to have it looked at by a healthcare professional.
