Depression: If he is actively suicidal (plan & intent to kill himself) then he needs to be seen immediately at the nearest emergency room. You can call 911 for transport if needed. If not acute or actively suicidal - encourage him to seek help by telling his physician and/ or a behavioral health provider. People need to be reminded that depression is treatable.
