Not much: You will be numb for the extraction so that will not hurt, but if you are concerned about this then talk to your dentist about sedation. The dentist will, use a topical anesthetic before the injection so, even this will not be painful. You will not feel anything more than when you have a routine filling. Hope this helps.

It's a trade off: Modern local anesthetics can be applied with little of no discomfort. Leaving teeth in place that should be extracted can create havoc. Talk to your dentist. If you are concerned, ask dentist for referral to a qualified oral surgeon, the specialist that's trained to do this for you in the easiest manner possible.
