Your mother needs: To be seen medically asap. Advil (ibuprofen) may or may not be the cause of blood in her stools. Blood in stools can present as red, maroon or as black, tarry, malodorous feces. Advil (ibuprofen) can be hard on the stomach & may be a cause of bleeding. There are many other causes for bleeding as well. Please tell your mother to stop advil (ibuprofen) for now and to be seen medically.
