Should be fine: The effects of the nitrous oxide should have worn off before you get out of the dental chair, so you should be fine.

Laughing gas: Nitrous oxide-laughing gas-is rapidly removed from the body following the procedure. Near the end of your appointment the dentist will take you of the nitrous and return you to 100% oxygen. Within 3-5 minutes the nitrous will be all out of your lungs. You should be fine for the afternoon volleyball game.
