Unlikely: During the operation it is your anesthesiologist job to watch your vital signs and to maintain them at a normal state. If the heart starts slowing down, then we speed it up, if your blood pressure drops, we treat that too. It is possible for your heart to stop due to a cardiac arrest, but we are trained to treat that too. So it is very unlikely that your heart would stop.

Unlikely: If you are asking if the heart can stop pumping due to anesthesia, the answer is yes. This is typically prevented by close monitoring of the cardiovascular system during anesthesia and is extremely unusual. If the heart is pumping however, it will continue to pump any anesthesia that is in the bloodstream.
