Probably not lupus: Many people have symptoms suggestive of lupus but most turn out not to have the disease. The ANA and other blood tests are virtually always positive in patients with lupus. Negative tests mean you're not likely to have lupus. A bigger problem is false positive anas, in which case the teat is positive but the patient does not meed other diagnostic criteria to lupus.
