Migraine treatments: Headaches triggered by smells, noise, light, foods, weather, wine, etc. Are usually migraines. Treatments: 1. Avoiding known triggers 2. Dark, quiet room 3. Caffeine before 2 pm 4. Anti-inflammatories prescribed by your doctor (e.g. Ketaprofen) or otc (e.g. Ibuprofen), abortives (like sumatriptan) and/or preventives prescribed by your doctor (like topirimate) 5. Butterbur root extract (petadolex).
