It may mean many dif: Anemia can be caused by many different factors in her disease management and its course.. It basically means that she ha slow hemoglobin, but you need to know how low it is? See below: The level of cells carrying oxygen in the blood is low. In stage 4. Carcinoma there can be several causes. If she is taking chemotherapy to treat the cancer, it can be a side effect of the drugs. If the bone cancer is extensive, the cancer can replace the bone marrow which normally produces blood cells. In which case there is decreased production of blood cells due to cancer.
