Very safe: Although the procedure is very safe in the hands of an experienced oral & maxillofacial surgeon, complications can always occur. The procedure may not be successful, with the possibility of pain worse after surgery. Also infection, bleeding, facial nerve injury, swellilng, bite shift. Ask your surgeon this question.
