Depends on symptoms: All patients have hemorrhoids. Only those with symptoms are treated. Specifically, for bleeding, you can be referred to a colon and rectal specialist for rubber band ligation or other outpatient treatments to treat hemorrhoids. Most topical creams can help treat pain if that was the issue. Sitz baths are very soothing as well.

Hemorrhoid: Is a normal finding, normal anatomy, normal veins that are supposed to be there under the anal skin tissue. Avoid irritating the veins by avoiding constipation, avoid sitting at the toilet too long, and avoid straining for bowel movements.
