Probably: Anything "stuck" will cause irritation and a burning sensation, especially medication. Some more than others. Make sure you drink plenty of water when taking your pills. If you have trouble swallowing you could take 1/2 pill at a time. Also depending on the generic formulation of clonazepam, it can be chewed up and even put under tongue for faster absorption.
