Boil: Depends on how big the boil is, and how aggressive you are in your treatment. Hot water compresses applied 4 times a day might work better than the drawing salve.

If it is only : Skin, then a few days. But it could be peri rectal abscess, which communicates with rectum, a potentially serious condition. Best to show it to a doctor.
