Bony apposition: Usually if the bones are aligned after a fracture, it takes about 2-3 months for bones to unite (assuming all other health factors are neutralized). Generally, a cast can come off 6-8 weeks after treatment and transitioned into a splint device to physical therapy and then back to activities.
