Location of pain...: Often tells us the possible causes of shoulder pain. Pain on the top of the shoulder is commonly seen in weight-lifters and is derived from the a-c joint. Rest from shoulder press, bench press, dips and pushups often allows the pain to fade away. Pain in the back of the shoulder may be muscular or coming from the neck. Rotator cuff and biceps tendonitis are possible as well. Rest until better!
