Can't tell: It is impossible to tell exactly what kind of damage the fight caused , but the numbness means there is some nerve damage. Tis may be from a fracture and should be evaluated by your dentist or an oral surgeon. It may heal and go away without treatment, it may not. Better to have this looked at.

Probably: It is normal if there is swelling in the area and it is pressing on the nerve for the area to be numb. That swelling usually goes away after four or five days and the feeling in the area returns. If it does not, see your dentist immediately.
