Stroke: It sounds like she had a stroke. She needs to be seen in an er or stroke center immediately.

Stroke Rehab: Your grandma had a stroke and cannot understand or remember why it happened because of the location of her deficit. Explain to her what happened and tell her about the deficits she has. Repitition may help improve her ability to remember, but depending on the amount of damage, this may take review many times. Be patient and understanding of her loss.
