Need exam: Hard to say. If the pain has been present since the extraction then start by scheduling an appointment with the oral surgeon who did the extraction. If this isa new pain, then call your doctor or an ENT . You need an exam to find out what is going on.

Post-op symptoms: It can be from a variety of things (no kidding!), including nerve damage, a socket not healing correctly or completely, or even TMJ syndrome sometimes aggravated by the pressure that may have been necessarily placed on the jaw during a difficult extraction procedure. It could also be caused by another tooth in that quadrant or just delayed healing, follow up with your oral surgeon asap.

Return to doctor: If you had your wisdom teeth removed 2 months ago and this pain came out of nowhere, it could be coincidence. But you should return to the doctor that removed your teeth. You could havve dry socket (unlikely), muscle spasms, or your lower jaw could be fractured. Either way...Why stay in pain. Continuing care is part of what you paid for.

Nerve: If you are experiencing sharp, stabbing pain or tingling over this area, there may be a irritation of the superior alveolar nerve (more cheek to ear) or inferior alveolar nerve (lower teeth and jaw). See a pain management specialist who treats facial pain

See your dentist: There could be a secondary infection, there could be another tooth causing the pain, or there could be a cyst/growth/swelling that is causing pain. You will want to see your dentist for an assessment and if he/she doesn't think it's tooth related then you should see the oral surgeon that removed the wisdom teeth and see if they can't figure it out.
