Probably normal.: When you stand the pressure in your veins increases and this can lead to the veins in your feet becoming more prominent. When you lie down, the reverse happens. Also, depending on your degree of hydration, your veins may increase or decrease. Other factors such as temperature and pulse rate could also affect these veins. I am not sure why they should hurt you. You should see a vein specialist.
