Yes: By definition. Remember that there are hundreds of relatively common kinds of cancer, and that some are much more aggressive than others.

Yes General term: Cancers arise from ectodermal epithelial cells or lining cells , sarcomas are from mesothelial (supportive tissue - muscles bones etc ) , lymphomas from lymphatic system , all these are malignant diseases., cancer is a malignancy , word is frequently inter changed.
