Not usual: During hernia repair dissection will not go towards penis, could be due temporary healing process , speak to your surgeon in your follow up visit

Should not be : A hernia surgery should not effect the direction of your erection. Swelling immediately post surgery may cause some changes but things should return to normal in 4 to 6 weeks.
