Nerve compression: Numbness in the fingers, particularly at night, is a very common symptom of nerve compression such as carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome. Evaluation by a hand surgeon can help diagnose this and they will also perform either nerve studies and or ultrasound to assist with the diagnosis and confirm wether it is a nerve compression.
