See your MD: A blood pregnancy test called "quantitative beta hcg" will help determine if you are pregnant and approximately how far along. When the beta HCG level reaches a certain level, an ultrasound should be obtained to confirm how many weeks pregnant you are, and, most importantly, confirm that the pregnancy is inside the uterus where it should be.
