Colorful BMs: It is not abnormal for foods to change color of bms. First time mothers can tell the story of the purple red bms their babies had from beets that they rushed them to the dr about. Dark black color or bms laced with dark black, see you dr asap as this may be blood indicating a more serious problem. Slight red could indicate hemorrhoid bleeding or local irritation. But see your dr to be sure.
