Topical Burn Cream: Burns are classified as 1st, 2and, or 3rd degree with 3rd degree being the worst. You did not mention how large an area is affected. If no topical cream or ointment has been prescribed, you may want to ask your husband's doctor if silver sulfadiazine (silvadine) cream would benefit your husband's burns. I have seen silver sulfadiazine cream used in burn centers. Sulfa allergy excludes use.
