More complicated: Fibromyalgia is not just related to weight. It is an important factor and many who lose weight seem to either lose the fibro or at least the symptoms decrease. However it is usually a complex of psychological stress and other medical problems that cluster together. Their are many experts on fibromyalgia here on healthtap to consult.

Possibly: It is more complex that just being obese. There are plenty of thin people with fibromyalgia. That said, i believe that obesity does factor in.

Yes: Imo obesity common in #fibromyalgia sufferers. Indeed excess weight stresses an already-pained musculoskeletal system. A unifying theme might be that obesity follows upon a sedentary lifestyle assumed because of chronic pain. Sedentary lifestyles lead to weak ; deconditioned muscles pained holding up body mass within gravitational field. It all becomes a chicken-egg-comes-first type of dynamic.
