Very possible: If addison's is not managed properly, there is a real risk of higher morbidity and mortality when body is under stress due to severe infection, trauma, etc due to lack of vital hormones produced by adrenal glands , especially cortisol. Cortisol is easily replaced by oral steroids on daily basis and dose is doubled up during stress situation. Injectable form is also available for emergencies.
