Several posibilities: The most likely is that you are sleeping in some position in which the muscles, because of lack of movement, or pressure on them from bedclothing, are stressed and cramping. Loosen up the bedclothes and change the position in which you sleep and see if that helps. If not, and you have any risks for vascular disease, see a doctor. Good luck.
