Various causes: Bruising may be from a variety of causes including: fragile skin (eg, elderly or collagen vascular disorders), low platelets (thrombocytopenia), bleeding disorders (eg, von willebrand disease, hemophilia), or medication effect (aspirin, plavix, (clopidogrel) warfarin).
