Should alcohol make my wet macular degeneration worse?

No. In moderation: Alcohol has no influence on the progression or response to treatment of wet macular degeneration. Moderate alcohol consumption of red wine and small amounts of hard liquor have been found associated with a lower chance of developing amd. It does not cure or help its once it has started.

Possibly: Excessive alcohol consumption might result in alteration of nutritional state. This may impact the progression of the disease. In moderation, i would be surprised to see negative impact from some consumption of alcohol. There is also limited evidence that drinking wine could have some positive impact. In general, i would avoid alcohol consumption.

Not really: Alcohol in moderation will not worsen this. Are you sure you have macular degeneration? You are too young at 35 years old to have age-related macular degeneration, but perhaps you have something else.
