See below: Alcohol is toxic to the liver fat accumulates in the liver when drinking occurs this progresses to alcoholic helpatis and then to cirrhosis cirrhosis leads to nodules shich have no resemblacne to normal lobules of the liver-and it is all because the liver detoxifies alcohol and this alcohol is itsef toxic to the llvier cells.
