Other causes: Not all cirrhosis is due to alcohol. You can get cirrhosis from hepatitis b or c, from primary biliary cirrhosis, and from some other less common conditions.

Yes: Although alcohol is the most common cause of cirrhosis, other causes are possible, even in someone who never drinks alcohol. The 2nd most common cause is hepatitis. It's important for someone with liver disease to be tested for hepatitis. Nash is another cause of cirrhosis.
