Yes: The nose is like 2 parallel hallways. The septum is the wall between each side. The septum eventually stops and each "hallway" opens to the nasopharynx (the area of the throat behind the nose). This, in turn, is connected to the oropharynx, the throat behind the mouth that youcan see with your mouth wide open. That is why post nasal dip can be felt in the throat.
