Pseudoephedrine, AND: Momzbma,
if you have headaches after air travel, it is possible that you are not equalizing pressure in your sinuses well. Although sometimes Pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine tablets can help with this, i would recommend discussing it with your family doctor and possibly seeing a ear/nose/throat (ENT) physician for further evaluation.

A 33-year-old member asked:
How can I relieve a severe headache with just OTC meds?

Headache remedies: Some patients do well on Excedrin migraine, and others respond to tylenol (acetaminophen). A new otc called dolovent also seems to help some.
There are scattered reports of chiropractic treatment assisting some people. However, all of the above could have some risks, and best to consult with your physician about all of these approaches.

Doctor can evaluate: Most people have a headache at some time, such as from colds and flus, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Several over-the-counter options include Tylenol (acetaminophen), Motrin, Aleve, Excedrin Migraine, and their generic brands. A "severe" headache, recurrent or weird headache, or one with other worrisome symptoms should be examined by a doctor.
