Depends: Some people are never cured, only their depressive symptoms are reduced. A typical regimen is 12-16 sessions, with possible maintenance treatment every month as necessary. But people are different and may occasionally need fewer and sometimes greater numbers of treatments, typically 3 times a week in a hospital, while 1-2 times a week as an outpatient.
