Can you let me know how many sessions does ect work in for depression to be cured?

Depends: Some people are never cured, only their depressive symptoms are reduced. A typical regimen is 12-16 sessions, with possible maintenance treatment every month as necessary. But people are different and may occasionally need fewer and sometimes greater numbers of treatments, typically 3 times a week in a hospital, while 1-2 times a week as an outpatient.

ECT: Initial treatment is usually 6 to 10 sessions and maintenance is usually once a month for 6 to 12 months as a general rule.
