Weight gain: Make an sppointment with your doctor and check out your thyroid function. Pregnancy can sometimes cause derailment of the thyroid.

Simple things: First, get clearance from your doctor. Then, drink plenty of water, eat high fiber, high protein, low calorie foods. Walk, as much as you can, working up to 3 mph and at least a couple of miles every day (or almost every day!). Finally, keep track of your exercise and eating habits- there are lots of apps for the smart phone - my favorite is "my fitness pal" - free and very helpful. I use it.

Exercise: It is difficult to lose weight by dieting alone. Add regular exercise to help.
