Stronger Rx: Especially if you have scarring already, you're being undertreated for your acne. It's a chronic, non-lifestyle-related, non-hygiene-related disease. Ask your physician whether you're a candidate for the oral contraceptive piil, whether there's any reason to think you have a hormone imbalance, and whether you could start on a systemic antibiotic as the next step.

Spironolactone: Normal menst.? For adult women the best way to control acne is SPIRONOLACTONE, an anti-androgen.Often combined with certain BC pills, some much better than others. Often also combined with tretinoin. After a few months, isotretinoin may be used if not clear. None of these if pregnant. Spironolactone will also slow or stop hair loss. Very safe and costs only $5 a month.
