Not poisoned: But inhaling talcum powder may trigger an asthma attack. Make sure that you are taking all of your controller medications (inhaled corticosteroids, montelukast) and take two puffs of your rescue inhaler (albuterol). If symptoms of chest burning persist see your doctor. One inhalation is not going to cause permanent lung injury.

See below: You are not poisoned but this inhalation has triggered your asthma. Take a few puffs of your albuterol/rescue inhaler. If that does not help, go to the er!
