Hemorrhoids are bloo: D vessels which grow back after surgical removal.Any thing which increases intra abdominal pressure such as pregnancy, squatting etc can increase the blood flow to the hemorrhoidal vessels and hence they get enlarged. Straining and pushing can make them worse.Best way is to stay on a healthy diet, avoid straining or pushing and eat your fiber daily (20-30 gms). See a colorectal surg if worse symp.
