You answered it: You answered your own question. Hemorrhoids can worsen from increased abdominal pressure which leads to higher blood pressure. Weight lifting does this. Also cayenne pepper and anything spicy or acidic often worsens the symptoms of pain and discomfort in people with hemorrhoids.
