Each tumor different: Stage l tumor, 7 centimeters or smaller, only in the kidney.Stage ii tumor larger than 7 centimeters in the kidney.Stage iil tumor any size found only in the kidney and in 1 or more nearby lymph nodes, main blood vessels of the kidney or in layer of fatty tissue stage iv, beyond the layer of fatty tissue around the kidney and may be found in the adrenal gland nearby lymph nodes; or lungs, liver, .

Yes : Have to be staged again , if you are cured from other one , second one's stage of disease is the stage for you. Bilateral tumors are possible , more often seen in younger people, some tomes could be due genetic mutation like hcrcc , or hprc , synchronous lesions can exists , make sure follow the advice of your doctor(s) , good luck.
