Several things: First, get checked by your doctor, to rule out anything scary. Then drink plenty of water, eat fiber (esp veggies, fruits, legumes and flax or chia seeds) (great website: http://www.Whfoods.Com/genpage.Php?Tname=nutrient&dbid=59), probiotics (beneficial bacteria), prebiotics (what those bacteria use for food) and digestive enzymes. Experiment and see if certain foods slow your digestion.

Gastroparesi: I would suggest you see a GI specialist to evaluate for gastroparesis. The fact that food is still in your stomach the next day suggests that there is delayed gastric emptying. A GI specialist could run tests and verify this disorder and get you started on proper treatment.
