Physical therapy: You need rehab. Without therapy there will be no way to get back to where the leg/knee was before the injury. I do not know anyone who can walk well with crutches!

Build Muscle&Stretch: Crutch use s difficult like learning to ride a bike for the first time; it really helps to get training. AND, do the following for 5 minutes every half hour: Quad Sets & Stretching. Do while sitting at your desk or dinner table. Just slide forward a little and fire up the quad. Simultaneously stretch in extension by Pushing your knee towards the floor. Then bend your knee. Hold each for 30 sec.
