K wire: Your doctor, who put the k-wire in, typically will supplement the k-wire with some form of immobilization that will protect both the k wire and the healing bone/joint. Typically the parts that are left out of the immobilization are ok to bend, but up to a point as you don't want to loosen the immobilization, get sweaty, loosen the pin etc.. Always best to check with your doctor who knows your case.
