What would make my index finger not bend all then way to palm, it bends but only to a 90 degree angle.

If it snaps: You might have a trigger finger if not you may just have some stiffness because the finger is swollen or injured .Please check with your primary doctor or hand surgeon.

See below: Without seeing you, it is hard to say. You could have arthritis, ligament or tendon injury. Best thing is to have this evaluated by your physician especially if it is new onset.
