Rarely: Since you told your doctor that you may be pregnant i'm sure that if they do prescribe an antibiotic that it will be appropriate to use for your condition. Many antibiotics can be taken safely at any stage of pregnancy and a few should not. Besides, if you indeed have an infection, not treating it can be more harmful to your baby than getting rid of it with meds.
