Weber B: There are several weber b type fracture. Usually if you do not have any tenderness along the medial side of the ankle/foot (where the medial malleolus and deltoid ligament are) and/or if you do not have ecchymosis (bruising) in this area then you most likely do not have any ligament damage.

Sometimes: Sometimes a concurrent ankle arthroscopy is used to look within the joint and view the structures during the repair of an ankle fracture. After the ankle fracture is fixed, sometimes the syndemosis is tested with an eversion stretch and this is viewed, while patient is asleep, on fluoroscopy.
