Need more info: Do you have any other symptoms? This may be sign of vascular (migraine) headache, and can precede the onset of pain. Any visual difficulties, changes in sensorium, cognitive function, memory, motor function, etc.? Brain tumor is a rather precipitous assumption and unlikely, but only a thorough evaluation will tell. Best wishes for a benign outcome.

Nope. : Brain tumor symptoms don't come and go over 2 seconds. It is something else, probably nothing serious.

Possible: What you describe is called a "paresthesia" and can be due to a sensory seizure or something irritating the trigeminal nerve supplying sensory function to that part of the face. You should see your physician and get checked, probably including a head mri.
